WHAT ARE THE PROBLEMS WITH TOURING JOB CONNECTIONS AND HOW DO WE FIX THEM??

THE PROBLEM

For the applicant

There’s a job posted. It has limited information about the job, but you can do what’s listed. This is what you do for a living, you’re qualified; your schedule is open. You email your resume and never hear back. You do this 200 times and you’re discouraged. It makes no sense and no one has explained why you’re not getting a response. ( more on this in the blog )

For the job poster

You need someone to do a job. You don’t want to put some random person on the tour that will either fail at what you’ve hired them to do or won’t get along with the crew you currently have. So you post a job, get 200 unorganized emails and lose your minds. You find someone in the emails that knows someone you know and you hire them. That doesn't mean they're what you're looking for, but trust plays a big part in this.

THE SOLUTION

For the applicant

Take the survey linked to the job post on We Tour Connect. It asks basic questions about you, your career and how you like to tour. You don’t have to guess what info to send or how to send it, you just answer truthfully and you’re either right for the tour or not. Simple.

For the job poster

You answer the same survey that the applicants answer with what you're looking for (plus a few more.) We match your answers to their answers and then study the applicant in detail. Would we hire this person for a tour we’re personally on? Does their work experience qualify them for the job you need done? After that, we contact their references and actually ask if they’re a competent crew member. The first question we ask references is, “would you be excited to tour with them again?”

Looking for a crew member is difficult. Knowing where to look is a big part of it and having the time to actually check the applicant out is a huge part of it. Let us do it for you.
